Celebrating Our Next Chapter–Together
From lighting up the sky at the annual fireworks show to sparking curiosity in local STEM classrooms, we are honored to support the many moments that make Okmulgee special. Our team has been part of this community since 1977—growing, working and celebrating side by side.
Now, we’re proud to continue that journey with a new name: Tate & Lyle Okmulgee. Our name has changed, but our commitment to Okmulgee remains as strong as ever.
Rooted in Okmulgee, Impacting the World
As one of Okmulgee’s largest employers, our team at Tate & Lyle plays a vital role in transforming nature-based ingredients into solutions that help people everywhere live healthier, tastier and more convenient lives.
Driven by science and inspired by nature, we’re proud to help create a more sustainable, resilient food system—one that benefits both people and the planet.
A Message from Our Leadership
We care deeply about our place in this community and are working hard to address the concerns of our neighbors. Expert sound engineers are helping us to develop and execute a comprehensive and long-term strategy to address noise mitigation.
To date, this has included the addition of acoustic sound barriers and mufflers, which have reduced the noise levels from our facility. We are currently assessing various additional sound reduction measures such as additional sound barrier walls, designed by acoustic engineers in an attempt to materially reduce sound. Most recently, we have planted trees to create a natural sound buffer.
Through this website, and our newly formed Community Advisory Panel, we are in contact with community representatives from Okmulgee. We are committed to keeping our neighbors updated on our efforts and progress. We are confident we will find a solution to manage noise levels, and we appreciate our neighbors’ patience with this process.

Committed to Our Community
At Tate & Lyle, our roots run deep in the communities wherewe live and work—and Okmulgee is no exception. We believe that being a good neighbor means more than just operating responsibly. It means showing up, pitching in and investing in what matters most to local families.
We’re proud to play a part in strengthening Okmulgee and ourteam members give their time, talents and energy to make a difference—because we’re not just located here, we’re truly part of this community.
As we look to the future under the Tate & Lyle name, our commitment to community support will remain a cornerstone of who we are.
Regional workforce collaboration
On May 28, Tate & Lyle Okmulgee hosted a Community Advisory Panel meeting to provide updates on the company’s transition from CP Kelco to Tate & Lyle. Attendees had the opportunity to meet new plant leaders, George Parten and Erik Boggs, and learn more about the company’s direction and continued investment in the community.
The meeting highlighted Tate & Lyle’s culture of innovation, collaboration and responsible growth, with a strong focus on local workforce development. Initiatives shared included the launch of a new apprenticeship program and efforts to build a strong pipeline of local candidates for future roles at the facility—reinforcing our commitment to cultivating talent and creating long-term opportunity in Okmulgee.
Planting for a Quieter, Greener Tomorrow
In May, 57 mature Cypress trees—each standing 8 to 10 feet tall—were delivered to our site as part of our ongoing commitment to
sustainability and community enhancement. With an average growth of 4 to 5 feet per year, these trees will soon form a natural sound barrier around our property, helping to reduce noise while improving local air quality and supporting biodiversity. We’re proud to plant the majority of these trees throughout our facility grounds and will soon donate a portion to the nearby pocket park, creating a more vibrant and welcoming space for our neighbors. It’s one more way Tate & Lyle is investing in a greener future—right here in Okmulgee.
Honoring Those Who Serve
Tate & Lyle Okmulgee was proud to serve as the title sponsor of this year’s Okmulgee County Law Enforcement Banquet—a meaningful event dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the service of our local law enforcement officers.
We are deeply grateful for the dedication, professionalism and sacrifice these individuals demonstrate every day to keep our community safe. It was an honor to stand alongside them in celebration, and we look forward to continuing our support throughout the year in partnership with Okmulgee County law enforcement.
Thank you for your service.

We shared more about our company, our operations, and our continued commitment to open dialogue and community engagement. The meeting also included updates on key initiatives, reinforcing our dedication to transparency, sustainability, and local partnership.
Inspiring Tomorrow's Engineers
This spring, four engineering students from the University of Tulsa visited Tate & Lyle Okmulgee for an inside look at how our products are made, the advanced engineering that powers our manufacturing processes, and what a typical day looks like for our on-site engineering team.
